Emergency assistance

Nigerian citizens in serious difficulty in Burkina Faso can call the Embassy's emergency line, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on +226 72 00 00 11.

Steps

  1. In a life-threatening situation

Call the local emergency services in Burkina Faso first, then inform the Embassy on +226 72 00 00 11.

  2. Lost, stolen or expired passport

Contact the consular section. The Nigeria Immigration Service is introducing the Single Travel Emergency Passport (STEP), a single-entry travel document that lets Nigerians abroad whose passports have expired, been lost or been stolen return home. See the Emergency Travel Certificate page.

  3. Arrest, hospitalisation or death

If a Nigerian citizen is arrested, admitted to hospital or dies in Burkina Faso, inform the Embassy as soon as possible so that the consular section can assist the person and the family.

  4. Questions that can wait

For matters that are not urgent, call the consular section on +226 25 36 09 80 during opening hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00) or write to info@nigeriaembassy-bf.org.
